the completion of a promotional music download campaign for the Chandon
brand of Moet & Hennessy USA,
in conjunction with 141 Worldwide. The promotion offered a series
of music downloads for members of the "Chandon Sparkling Circle"
customer loyalty program. 141 Worldwide designed and created a comprehensive
interactive email recruitment and eCRM program, and selected MGI to
provide a complete, turnkey solution to manage the digital music distribution
process - from handling content selection and licensing, to enabling
online content delivery directly from the Chandon promotion.
Industry analysts have stated that consumer
promotions incorporating music and other content downloads, such as
the past offer from Pepsi and iTunes, will become increasingly popular
tools for branding and sales generation. Yet according to MGI, most
companies do not have the infrastructure in place to support these types
of downloads from their own web sites, and must instead share the promotion
- and their customers - with third-party partners who can. The MGI
solution changes this, offering a transparent, back-end infrastructure
that manages everything from content selection and licensing to customer
delivery, billing, and payment processing.

MGI created three unique compilations
of music, designed specifically to appeal to the tastes of Chandon's
Sparkling Circle customers, with different versions for cocktail gatherings,
festive dinners, and holiday parties. Once the artists and songs were
selected, MGI handled all content licensing, then set up the infrastructure
to support the downloads. Samples of all three compilations allowed
customers to preview each compilation before downloading. MGI also offers
complete tracking and reporting capabilities, so Chandon can continuously
gauge the effectiveness of its promotion.
The face of the Chandon Sparkling Circle
recruitment and eCRM campaign was designed by 141 Worldwide, and included
an interactive email and survey distributed to all Chandon Sparkling
Circle members and recruits. The survey provided useful insight into
customer needs and preferences. A link from the promotion to the Chandon.com
home page also provided an opportunity for customers to obtain more
information on serving suggestions, food pairings, gift ideas, and more.
